FRANCESCA MORUCCI
Francesca Morucci is head of Public Relations of the Livorno Port Authority (Italy) and she has two Masters, one on « History and semiology of the text and of the image » and one on « Information and Communication for Public Entities ». Her professional experience regards three different sectors linking port and city as a common place: international maritime and port cooperation, communication and territory management. In her function at Livorno Port Authority she focuses on two principal themes: international relations and port-city integration, with a specific interest on heritage port space (re)territorialisation. Oriented on collective works, 9 years ago she started the « Open Port » project in Livorno and she still drives it. The project aims to bring citizens closer to port issues. She is part of the working groups on the Livorno « Old Fortress » and on the Livorno Port Center. Member of « Cruise and Ferries Network » of ESPO and Secretary of Med Ports Community association, she participated in the elaboration and diffusion of the « Code of Practice on Societal Integration of Ports », published by ESPO in 2010 and of the « Code of Practice on Cruises and Ferries », published in June
FRANCESCA PICHI
Francesca Pichi was born in Arezzo (Italy) on 16 December 1970. In 1996 Francesca Pichi graduated at Florence University, Faculty of Architecture. In 1999 and 2002 she had two Masters in Heritage and Monumental Restoration, at Florence University and at Soprintendenza of Firenze. In the same period she collaborated with the holding Company of the Port of Livorno, planning docklands and areas. In 2005 she was hired by Technical Department of the Company. In 2000 and 2001 she was professor of Urban morphology and building typology analysis and of Theory of contemporary architecture at Florence University. In 2010 she joined the Planning Area of Livorno Port Authority. Her main activities are: • studies for the masterplan of the Port of Livorno • evaluations of the landscape aspects of the port areas • studies for protection, enhancement and transformation of the cultural heritage • member of the working group for Livorno Old Fortress . Since 2005 until 2014 member of Planning Commission of Collesalvetti Municipality. In 2015 she had the Master’s Degree in " The Smart City project" at Architecture’s Department of Urbanism of Florence University. In 2015-2016 she was the designer and the construction manager of the Livorno Port Center.
MATTEO SCAMPORRINO
Born in Grosseto in 1980, he graduated in Urban Development and Planning of City and Territory of the University of Florence in 2008. He obtained, in Florence, a PhD in Town and regional Planning in 2013 with a dissertation about the models of reconstruction after the earthquake in Italy. On the subject of urban planning and landscape design he has several publications in national and international journals. For twelve years, he was visiting lecturer in Analysis of Land and Settlements at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence. Today is adjunct professor of Urban Planning in the Design Laboratory of the Architecture Faculty of Florence. Research Fellow for four years on the issues of protection of cultural heritage and landscape design (of Managment Plan View of Livorno Port Authority). He is a member of the Regional Design Laboratory in the Department of Architecture of Florence which is conducting research on the port of Livorno about the impact of new transformations of the Port Plan on the heritage and landscape. From a freelancer, was the designer of the PIU (Plan Urban Innovation) of Rosignano Municipality in 2016. He is a founding partner and director of StartUp and Spin-off academic Artù srl operates in the field of co-operative spatial planning and in innovative GIS solutions.
