REVIEW OF ABSTRACTS AND PAPERS

Sapienza University of Rome invites all academics and professionals interested in the debate on MEDITERRANEAN COAST FORTIFICATIONS to submit their contributions to the FORTMED 2026 Conference. Participation is in two stages, each subject to review: the submission of abstracts (Stage I) and the creation of a full paper or short paper (Stage II).

All papers of the 2026 edition, duly accepted after a phase of double peer review, will be published in the Conference Proceedings with ISBN and will enter the Defensive Architecture of the Mediterranean series (ISSN: 2792-5633). FORTMED publishes all accepted papers in paper and digital form (open access) with indexing in the main scientific search engines.

Publication may take place upon payment of the early or regular registration fee of at least one author per paper. This registration envisages the inclusion in the Proceedings in digital format, while the Proceedings in paper format can be requested separately during registration. Contributions received after the deadline will not be included in the Conference Proceedings. Late registration will also not allow authors to be included in the Proceedings.
